Customizing

Siao Hwee also began to texture the characters and police car. Initially, he started looking for photos/pictures of the Singapore Police Force (SPF) and also the police car as reference. Afterwhich, he began super-imposing onto the texture maps. Lots of customization were made to produce a more “Singapore” feel.

However, he encountered a problem. Siao Hwee tried to differentiate the 2 policemen from each texturing 2 different heads for the policemen. When he tried to change the texture of one policemen, the other policeman’s head changed too. He tried to solve this problem by using other models, it didnt solve the problem as the other models are being modelled in such a way that the clothes are grouped together with the model and cannot be ungrouped.  Siao Hwee reckon that it might be something to do with the root directory and is still looking for ways to solve this.

Welcome to the blog! Firstly, let us do a little introduction, We are final year students in the midst of our major project and are tasked to create 3D visualization for the Singapore Police Force’s (SPF) eTest system. We hope that this blog will serve as a communication platform between our client, Supervisor and us. It will be constantly updated so that our client can comment on our work, thus allowing us to make changes/improvements early.
